Acts 8: 30 – 31

I found you on Heavenawaits’ Siener van Rensburg page.

How do I, as an Afrikaner, deal with my own people who are racist and some believe that God did not make blacks and Asians? That the latter were made by the Anunaki, for instance?

I am deeply concerned as the Afrikaner remains religious but not evangelised in the proper sense. If we want to see the resurgence of the true church of Acts, we are in hot water right now. My family and I are pioneer unsupported missionaries who had seen much hardship and abuse over the past 12 years, especially. One just grows tired of having to deal with rebellious or obstinate people.

Sometimes I feel that God cannot send in Malema quickly enough to just kill the lot because they will deny Jesus Christ until the end of time. I was shown in dreams that only the handful if true Xians will survive the coming ordeal. In the same visions, the absence of men was emphasized and we all know the typical boer: Veldfokus shirt, shorts, he drives a Legend 40 and takes his drink with eish! Yes, Sundays he goes to church but we are not sure what the purpose of that is, as by Monday he comments in Beeld or Die Burger that “Jesus is a one-time wine maker” or “Jesus is just an overrated carpenter.”

It would seem that the Boer needs a crisis before some may possibly return to Christ. The latest fad is to listen to Angus and then believe they have been saved. Angus brings a much needed message, but the Boer is now following him instead of Jesus.

What will it take to bring the Afrikaner to his senses? I have already seen a former APLA terrorist, now reborn, being sent in amongst the AWB as God’s messenger. Don’t tell me that God does not have a sense of humour 🙂

    Wisdom from your side, perhaps??

  2. Dear Pieter,

Thanks for your email. I understand your frustration. I am mixed asian and white so it can be sensitive for me. But I think that the most sensitive part for me is that I have people who I regard as my brothers from both Zulu and Afrikaans. I think there are two different people that we deal with and both must be treated differently. There are the sincerely deceived who believe that blacks are under the curse of Ham (though we know that Ham was never cursed but Canaan was and Canaan never came to Africa!). I have much patience with these guys because I can show them from scripture where they err and they will listen and weigh it up. But there are those who do not want to hear evidence contrary to their theory. I do not have much patience with them but still try to reason with them.

I know the Lord gives dreams, He has given me some in my short pilgrimage but I think we need to focus and make our stand on the word, for there we have an objective and absolute standard outside of myself and the person I am reasoning with. Also I do not believe there is any new prophetic revelation concerning biblical revelation nor eschatology. John writes strongly that anyone who adds to the prophecy of revelation God will add to him the plagues written in the book. Neither must we take away. So the second point is to emphasis the authority of scripture.

Thirdly, I think we have to get away from perceiving our identity in an earthly tribe. The Lord saves a remnant of every earthly tribe and makes them one in Messiah. Just as Jew and Gentile were to fellowship together in the Christian assembly without having the Gentiles become Jews, so we maintain that experiential unity. A lovely Afrikaans lady once asked me what I see myself as for my grandmother is Chinese on my mum’s side, my mum and I are Portuguese born and my dad is English. I sincerely answered her that my identity is in none of those backgrounds but my identity is in Christ and that is why I can live in a Zulu homestead and fellowship with people of every culture. We will never be culture less, we will never be without a certain way of doing things but God wants us to subordinate culture to Him and have our culture redeemed and sanctified. The Apostles never required us to become Jews to join the church. So why should we require Zulus to do things in a white way to join the kingdom. God is against witchcraft and ancestor worship but we see these things done by Afrikaaner and Zulu and Brit alike. We must see ourselves as aliens and strangers in this world. Jesus will come back and establish His kingdom on this earth, millennium, and there will be a purpose for all the nations then but now we are in the Church. Our inheritance is kept for us in heavenly places. We are in the world but not of it. So let the Militant whites fight the militant blacks for this piece of dirt. Blessed are the meek for they will inherit the earth. Our hope is Christ. He will come and win establish his kingdom. So I will not stand with English, Zulu or Afrikaans. I will stand with my brothers and sisters in Christ from all skin colours and cultural backgrounds. We are called to be salt and light and to be separate.

So I don’t see a special calling for the Boer. I see a special calling for the Church which includes all saved Afrikaaners, Zulus and English. We must live in the light of that now. We must hold to the truth of God’s word. That is foundational but it has also to be done in love. By this the world, which includes unsaved Boers, will know you are my disciples by the love you have for one another. Demonstrate that love with saved Boer and Zulu alike. Let your unsaved kinsmen according to the flesh see the reality of the gospel. Do not be ashamed of your darker skinned brethren and do not be offended for when some South Africans, both white and black, revile you for it. It means they are seeing the light and it is challenging them.

I agree with the Angus thing. I believe the man is sincere but I cannot hold to kingdom now, power of the tongue teaching and I am strongly against ecumenical compromise with Rome. This is not true biblical unity but a pseudo unity. There is a big push which is leading to Babylon the Great Mother of Harlots. This will be part of the deception in the falling away of believers from the Truth. They will see a way to escape persecution for their faith through this false religion giving them a sense that they worship God, when in fact they have not received a love of the truth so as to be saved. They will be deceived by major signs and wonders which lie to them and cause them to worship the antichrist. Preparing for that day not only means being ready to withstand the deception that is coming but also means keeping from those movements which are paving the pathway to acceptance of that ultimate deception. We will not be ready to see the deception of that day if we cannot see through the deceptions that bombard us from the likes of word of faith healers, prosperity preachers and the majority of aberrant theology spewed forth from businesses such as TBN.

Praise the Lord for your friend. We need more like him. In as much as you are faithful to the doctrine of scripture may the Lord bless you with wisdom. I don’t believe we will see a major revival but a snatching of as many from the flames as the Lord enables us to. Despise not the day of small things. The Lord is seperating for Himself a remnant from all peoples and from many denominations of churches. He is dividing those who love Truth from those who love experience over the Truth, those who are God centered and those who are Man centered. May we have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to the Churches.

    Shalom,

    Salvi
